ActivePerl and AWStats Installation Instructions.

Intermediate Level

ActivePerl and AWStats Installation Instructions.

Steps 1 and 2- Download and install ActivePerl.

Step 1 : Download the latest version of ActivePerl.

Goto http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePerl
Click the 'Download' Link and fill out the email address details if you want to - this is not a requirement and can skip straight to the Download page by clicking Next.

Now click on the Windows MSI package (12.4MB download - ActivePerl-5.8.4.810-MSWin32-x86.msi) and save to wherever you save full programs to, need not be the installation folder. If you do not have XP then you might also need to download the Windows Installer 2.0+ .

Step 2 : Install ActivePerl

Well thats Perl (ActivePerl) installed, wasn't so bad was it. We are finished with this program for now, and just need to install and configure AWStats to use ActivePerl and our log files from our Apache Server.
