Step 5 - Summary of Installation. .

Hopefully then by now you will have your own Web Server up and running. If you haven't then something went wrong with the installation somewhere, and is usually a path error. Please double check all your settings. If you just can't see the wood for the trees then ask for help in our miniForums where a member will be on hand to answer any queries you might have.

There can be 'local' variations in your particular setup that we can not foresee when writing these tutorials (in this case for example you might already be running a web server - even if you don't know it!) so provide any extra info you can and we will get it sorted for you. For those having problems setting up VirtualHost containers for local testing scenarios you might be interested in this thread from our Apache Forums. http://minitutorials.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38&view=findpost&p=156

The next stage in this series of articles is to install and configure site stats for your web server, this doesn't take very long so we do this now to get it out of the way before moving on to installing and configuring PHP.
